About Debbie

Debbie Dean is a Chicago-based pianist, vocalist and songwriter.  She is passionate about performing music from all genres including pop, rock, jazz, rap, blues, R&B, country and classical.  She has delighted shoppers at Von Maur in Glenview, IL with her beautiful piano music for over a decade and has performed at clubs, weddings and events, including a performance with Wayne and Kathy Messmer.  

Debbie Dean grew up in Ishpeming, MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan before moving to Chicago.  She studied piano at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and piano, voice and theatre at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI.  She then studied jazz piano with Alan Swain in Kenilworth, IL and voice with Jessye Wright, mezzo soprano, in Northbrook, IL.
